A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
